Watch out for road closings in Stockbridge!

If you take any of the roads when you leave from Waterford Place in the morning, you might want to rethink your route. For the next four days (August 30-Sept. 3) four roads will be closed to install new water mains. So be sure to plan your routes accordingly! These streets are:

  • Ward Street will be closed to all traffic from Love Street to Harrell Drive. Harrell Drive will be open on both ends to access N. Henry Blvd. and Berry St.
  • Love Street will be closed for its entire length to traffic.  North Berry Street, South of Love Street will have access from Jim Clark Dr. and South Berry St.
  • South Berry Street, North of Love Street will be closed to through traffic.
  • Lovejoy Street on the West side of the railroad tracks will be closed to through traffic.

The Falcons trade off....

One of the pop offensive lineman’s for the Atlanta Falcons will take the field for another team this year.

Quinn Ojinnaka has been traded to the New England Patriots during a draft pick this Sunday.

Due to a NFL violation, he will have to sit out the season opener for the them; but he  be able to participate in preseason practices and other games.

In the midst of their lost, the Falcons added Mike Johnson and Joe Hawley in hopes to rebuild their offensive line.

By  September 4, the team has to cut their roster down to 53.  With a teamed currently composed of 78 players, who are the possible cuts?

If any Waterford Place residents attended any of the preseason game, tell us about your experience!!!

Make it a date night at the glass studio!

So you have the usual places, you know, the movies, bowling, dinner…. but what about making glass? It sounds kind of cheesy, but it can definitely be a fun date! Change things up this weekend and take your date to Glass Night at the Siyeh Studio in Atlanta.

The class is tomorrow night from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.  And if that doesn’t work for you, classes are also offered on Saturdays and Sunday during brunch hours.

Couples pay $130 for lessons.  This will cover tools, materials, beverages, fruit and chocolate!

This should be fun and a different approach to dating.  You won’t have a doggy bag to bring home, but you’ll have a perfect sculpture to bring home to remember the date!

Check for available date times on the Siyeh Studio calendar!

Need directions? Find out how to get to the glass studio from Waterford Place Apartments on Mapquest!

Keeping Your Laundry Room Tidy

Posted on August 9, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Want to keep your laundry room organized?

Sometimes, the room that gets your clothes its cleanest can be the most untidy room.  But have no fear– there are some simple tips that I found on realsimple.com that you can use to keep it at its best, and use it as a storage  space.

  • Keep a towel basket inside.  If you keep a towel basket inside the laundry room, you’ll be more likely to fold them instead of just throwing them in a corner.
  • Store the ironing board behind the door or in a space where it could easily slid into.
  • Keep hangers in that area and use them to immediately hang items that you don’t want to go in the dryer.
  • Stack dirty clothes in a neat pile… try not to have them all across the floor!

What are some things you do to keep your laundry room at Waterford Place Apartments tidy?

And like any other movie, you know there’s always a catch… find out what kind of trouble Tracy gets into, and what she might have to dance her way out of.
